ABOUT SUNSCREEM
TECHNO/HOUSE MUSIC BAND
BASED IN ESSEX, ENGLAND
Sunscreem are one of the most influential bands in the history of British dance music, known for their groundbreaking recordings and pioneering work in the area of live performances.
Sunscreem started out as a trio called “The Sun Scream” in February 1990 – with Lucia Holm, Paul Carnell and Duane Brazier. Rob Fricker was enlisted as a bass player in 1991 and, together with guitarist Darren Woodford, they put on shows that blurred the line between DJ sets and live band performances.
Sunscreem’s single Love U More reached No. 1 in all three UK Dance Charts (Record Mirror / Music Week / Mixmag) — the first time this had ever been achieved. Another all-time first was the simultaneous No. 1’s in both the UK & US dance charts for Pressure US and Love U More , respectively. And Perfect Motion , with its infectious hook, sealed their place in dance history by reaching #1 on both sides of the Atlantic.
Since then, the band’s singles have consistently charted throughout the world, and they have played live to hundreds of thousands of people.
Sunscreem are still making cutting-edge dance music to this day with over 15,000 monthly Spotify listeners. Their appetite for live performance remains unabated as they continue to take their unique set to their fans, playing a series of club and festival dates throughout the UK.
